AGENDA TOPIC:

#1:  Mentioned and will be discussed at next meeting

#2: -Save Around Books, were ordered and fundraising will end of October early November.

-Mix Bag Designs, ordered and fundraising starting September 30th

-Harvest Fest Saturday 24th- 11-3pm- discussion of volunteers 2 hour time slots-Apple cider and cider donuts were order.

-Fall Festival October 1st- ideas were discussed and volunteers requested

#3 School Banking-CAPCOM has contacted President-Amanda Akin-further discussion needed for volunteers for one day a week, or once a month, decision carried to next meeting.

#4 Halloween Night/Book Fair Buying Night-October 28, 2016 @ 6:30p.m. Elementary School-Volunteers needed, ideas on snacks/donations, Haunted House-6th Graders activities and games- Junior Honor Society.

#5 Fall Movie Night- mentioned, but no discussion on when, discussions were made on type of movie, also discussion about popcorn.

#6 Elementary School Pictures- September 22, 2016-picture make up day October 28, 2016

OTHER TOPICS DISCUSSED NOT ON THE AGENDA:

  • Teacher Tenure-gifts
  • New Teacher recognition notes
  • CONCLUSION: No objections were made
  • School yearbook-what company to do them and cost

CONCLUSION: Lifetouch will be doing yearbook at agreed upon price per book.

 

Guest– Mary Skidmore attended meeting with a proposal that they need to gift their proceeds from the sale of their building (the “Johnsonville Ambulance”) to a 501(3)(C) organization. Also proceeds would be donated to the Hoosic Valley PTO the PTO would use said proceeds to set up scholarships for students who will be studying in the Health related fields. Also guest discussed if they cannot sell building would we want.

 

CONCLUSION: voting members had no issue with the acceptance of the proceeds of the sale. No further discussion on the building was made, other than mentioning other organizations that made have an interest.
