Scholarships

PTO CHARACTER AWARD
This is a $500 award given to a high school senior who shows empathy for fellow students and a positive and respectful attitude in and around the school community. This is given to someone who is kind and considerate. This award is not to focus on leadership or involvement in school clubs or activities but instead to focus on those aspects of good character that are valued and encouraged by the Hoosic Valley Parent Teacher Organization. PTO accepts nominations from the faculty at Hoosic Valley and a student is selected from those nominations.

PTO SCHOLARSHIP
This is a $500 scholarship given to a high school senior who is planning on going on to a two year, 4 year or trade school in the fall. Applications are accepted and selection is based on school or community involvement; contributions toward making Hoosic Valley a positive place in which to learn; and student statements about future goals as well as a teacher recommendation.
